Bulgarian Sports Development Association
was founded in 2010 and is a nonprofit public benefit organization devoted to the development of Bulgarian sport and improving sporting culture in Bulgaria!
Our team is young, creative and full of innovative spirit that works for development of Bulgarian sport and enhance the sport culture in Bulgaria with a desire and motivation. BSDA membership is voluntary and the association involve both physical and legal persons who are willing to help sport development with time, ideas, effort or financial support. We also organize different events in the areas of: entrepreneurship, citizenship and active society. The team of the organization consists of professionals from different fields as: sport experts, media specialists, tourism and hospitality, education, marketing and others.
We believe that sport should be part of a modern life of children and young people and should create in them values such as motivation, discipline, fair play. Sport is also be a excellent way to prevent many of the problems with young people such as social exclusion, violence, crime and addictions.
Our main goals are:

  1. Sustainable development of physical education and sport in Bulgaria;
  2. Develop different strategies and programs for sport tourism.
  3. Development, application, implementation and coordination of national, municipal, government, European, international and other projects and programs for development of sport, sports facilities and physical education;
  4. Improving the health, physical condition and sports culture of the nation, concerning youth problems as a priority;
  5. Optimization and mobilizing human and material potential in sport and personal development;
  6. Creating an enabling environment for sustainable and efficient management and entrepreneurship in sport and tourism;
  7. Development of education in physical culture and sport and through sport, and informal continuing education in the field of sport, professional development, business and entrepreneurship;
  8. Protection of children, youth, professional athletes, coaches, sports figures and sports organizations;
  9. Develop, Stimulate entrepreneurship and personal development of the youngsters;
  10. Development of prevention through sport.

We can popularize all the project stages in Bulgaria and also comply all the stages of the project activities, select and send participants from Bulgaria to all the projects events. We can also host any kind of events and campaigns, connected to physical activity, active living, sport events, youth policies, non-formal education and more. During the projects we will help with the organization of the meetings, events and methodology, advertising campaigns.
Bulgarian sports development association has extensive experience and expertise in the field of youth activities, sports events and trainings.
Young athletes and volunteers are an essential part of the team of the association and for us as capacity building of our team has always been a top priority. Over the years we have organized a variety of events focused in the field of sport and physical activity, and our top priority in the future is the development of sport and sport culture in Bulgaria. Each team member is committed to the development of sport throughout the period and has worked in various aspects of management, administration and organization of sport. The team has participated in lot of trainings and initiatives under the program Youth in Action and Erasmus+.
Over the years we have built excellent partnerships with a number of Bulgarian and international organizations with which we maintain active relationships and develop joint projects for the development of sport and active civil society.
Founders and young leaders of Bulgarian sports development association come from experienced and influential organizational backgrounds with several projects that includes: more than 50 sport events of various range organized in Bulgaria – national, European and world championships in different sports, more than 10 national conferences, organized in Bulgaria, participation in many European events at representative level on behalf of Bulgaria on youth policy such as Youth congress Spain 2010 and Denmark 2012, Training of Trainers, Training of International Project Managers, Social Entrepreneurship, Education through Sport, Congresses and workshops.

Leading team members:

Yoanna Dochevska – Chairwoman of BSDA, More than 10 years of experience in sport campaigns, organization of sport events, management of volunteers in sport, youth policies at national and European level.
Ivaylo Lazarov – Phd at National Sports Academy “Vassil Levski”, with huge experience of more than 10 years of organization of sport events, sport coaching, volunteers management, science research in field of sports.
Konstantin Zankov – Expert of european projects with huge experience in organization of trainings, non-formal education.
Iliya Iliev – Media expert, working in a national TV as a sport news announcer, experienced in sport competitions organization and presentation, news covering of events.
Hristiyan Yankov – Working in Bulgarian Olympic Committee and responsible for communication with governmental and representative bodies in Bulgaria
Ivaylo Zdravkov – Fundraising and event organization, corporative relations, sport events organization.
Dimitar Tasev – Coaching, media relations, marketing, sport events organization.
Dimitar Iliev – Coordination of volunteers
Plamen Dotchevsky – Public comunications – comunication with local, regional and national authorities, coordination of experts.
